Researching, interviewing, scripting, voicing the stories, directing the Cameramen and Video Editors. The stories on an average used to be of 8-10 minutes duration on varied topics. For these, I have interviewed more than 400 people from all walks of life.
The stories include political analysis; human-interest stories, business stories, sports and cinema based stories. I have covered the situations in Kashmir, Assam and Punjab when they were under the grip of militancy. I was in Latur to cover the earthquake (Killing 10,000 people) in 1993 and the train accident in Firozabad in 1995 when nearly 300 people died. I have also profiled Azharuddin (Former Captain of the Indian Cricket Team), Kamal Haasan (Oscar Nominated Actor), Vishwanathan Anand (Indian Chess Grandmaster) and many other famous personalities. - |

FREELANCE ASSIGNMENTS
2005 Directed and produced a documentary film for Public Service Broadcasting Trust called "Seeing Freedom". 2005 Was the Executive Producer of the documentary "University of Delhi - A Haven of Learning". This is the first documentary made on the university in its eighty two years of existence. 2003 Was the Executive Producer of 'IDIOT BOX OR THE WINDOW OF HOPE" a documentary film on Indian Television and social responsibility. This documentary was produced for the Public Service Broadcasting Trust (PSBT). 2003 Was the Additional Director for 'IN ESSENCE' a Documentary on the fundamentals of various religions being produced by award winning documentary film maker Savyasaachi Jain. WORKSHOPS CONDUCTED 2008 Working as a consultant with AIBD in strategising Myanmar's MRTV 4 channel. This is an information and educational channel. 2007 Was part of a team of professionals involved in training the new employees of a Telugu News Channel NTV in Hyderabad. 2006 Directed a workshop on Latest techniques and skills in Television Journalism for Indian Information Service Officers at the internationally renowned Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. 2004 Was involved in the workshop conducted for the Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) on facing the media for senior management of the organisation by the School of Convergence. 2002 Conducted a module on facing television interviews and another on countering negative publicity for the public relations personnel of 20-20 Media. 2001 Conducted a two Day Television Journalism workshop for students of Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication, Pune. |
